Heather Lubeck, President


Heather has served on the Mission Kids Board as President since 2011. In 2009, she co- founded Mission Kids and since then has worked in all areas and aspects of the school’s growth as a director, teacher and parent. Heather received her B.S. in Educational Psychology from University of Georgia and her Masters in Special Education from Georgia State University. She is the mother of three Mission Kids alumni.
Licinia Iberri, Vice President


Licinia joined the board of Mission Kids the summer of 2019. In addition to being the Vice-President, she manages forms and files for the school. She is the Campus Planning Manager at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, running the overall real estate development master plan to rebuild public transit yards and maintenance buildings. Licinia holds a Masters in Planning from USC and a BA in Urban Studies from Macalester College. In her free time, she cooks elaborate meals, plays soccer, and cheers passionately for the Brazilian national team. Her and her husband Dave’s daughter is currently enrolled at Mission Kids.
Christina Maluenda, Director


Christina is one of the founding Co-Director/Teachers of Mission Kids and has been working in early childhood education for over 15 years. She was the Founder and Director of Imagine Preschool, which merged with Mission Kids to become a licensed child care facility in 2009.
 Christina served as the Director of Partners in Autism Treatment, a non-profit agency serving young children on the autism spectrum. Christina has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Neuroscience from Duke University and a Master of Science in Child Development from University of California Davis. Christina is a Spanish bilingual educator, a certified CLASS observer, a trained member of San Francisco’s NERT program, and she serves on the Board of Trustees for Presidio Hill School. Christina’s two children both are Mission Kids alumni.
Judy Lee, Admissions Coordinator


Judy has served on the Mission Kids board as Head of Admissions since May 2017. As a Design Thinking coach, consultant, and designer, she builds capacity in her clients to learn new behaviors and mindsets that are needed to make shifts in process, culture, and organization. Judy received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Industrial Design at North Carolina State University. She and her husband have one current Mission Kids student and one MK alum.
Oona Marti, Annual Fund/Capital Campaign Coordinator


Oona has served on the Mission Kids board since March of 2017, focusing on the annual fundraising efforts of the school as well as a potential capital campaign that would help the school expand. She is a professional nonprofit fundraiser, working most recently for nine years for the Commonwealth Club of California where she ran all aspects of their fundraising and membership efforts, including their development, membership, guest services and travel departments. She currently stays at home full-time with her two kids. She graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in French Studies. She and her wife have one current Mission Kids student and one MK alum.
Addy Williams, Member at Large


Addy has served on the Mission Kids Board since July 2016 as a Fundraising Chair. She also currently serves on Longfellow Elementary School’s PTA. She has previously served on the San Francisco Chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society Alumni board, where she focused on alumni events and chapter fundraising. With a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and a Certificate in Interior Design from U.C. Berkeley Extension, she worked in the restaurant and hotel design and construction industry for the past 15 years. Addy and her wife have three children, who attended Mission Kids from 2015 through 2020.
Miles Pickering, Secretary


Miles is pleased to have joined the Mission Kids board as Secretary in May of 2018. He has spent the last 20 years of his life running small businesses including a consultancy, a postcard printing business, and a restaurant but is now happily working as a stay-at-home dad for his two sons who keep him very busy.
Dan Spinnerty, Treasurer


Dan joined the Mission Kids board in 2019. In his professional life, he owns and operates a professional services practice advising small businesses on all things finance, accounting, and HR. He holds a degree in finance from the University of Illinois.  He looks forward to helping MK grow into it’s new home at 969 Treat. Dan and his wife Christine have two children, one current Mission Kid and one future Mission Kid!
Jennifer Zubia Ramirez, Membership Chair


Jennifer joined the Mission Kids board in July of 2020. She is currently a teacher at a Spanish Immersion school in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission district where she has taught for the past eleven years. She earned her National Board certification in 2015. She graduated from University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. in Spanish Studies and a minor in Applied Psychology. She and her husband have lovingly created a united blended family with their two children (one of which is a current MK student!) and her 8-year old stepson.
Jennifer Clevidence Fundraising Chair


Jennifer has served on the Mission Kids board since June of 2020 with a focus on fundraising events to support furthering the school’s mission and building its community. Professionally, Jennifer serves as an Executive Coach to a growing number of leaders globally, supporting them in their own personal and professional growth as well as advising on organizational development. She graduated with a B.A. in Human Resources from Ohio University, and a Masters of Organizational Development from Bowling Green State University. She also holds certifications from New Ventures West and the International Coaching Federation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Jennifer and her partner (David) have two children, both attending Mission Kids. Together they live in San Francisco’s Garden District.
Laura Lara-Brady, Outreach and Diversity Chair


Laura joined the Mission Kids Board on 2020, focusing on infusing equity practices throughout classrooms and MK processes, as well as exploring ways in which we can build a more inclusive community. Her work outside of MK focuses on building equitable practices in higher education systems for close to 15 years, more recently in her capacity as a Dean and researcher at CCSF and currently working with the Foundation for California Community Colleges. Laura got her B.A. from SFSU and her Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado. She was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, enjoys being near the ocean, and loves showing the world to her amazing daughters. She and her husband have a current Mission Kids student and a little one waiting to join the party in a couple of years.
